Australian Federation Tattoo 2002

The
City of Invercargill Caledonian Pipe Band performed
Pipin' Hot at the Australia Federation Tattoo in Ballarat,
Australia in January 2002.
This
is the Australian Federation's 4th Tattoo and the
second time it has been staged in Ballarat, Victoria.
An estimated 12000 people attended the tattoo which
ran over three days from January 25th to 27th.

Presented
in a specially constructed stadium at Historic Ballarat
& Clarendon College, the tattoo is set against
a purpose-built castle backdrop.
The
City of Invercargill Caledonian Pipe Band played in
both the opening and closing ceremonies as well as
performing a special Pipin' Hot act will its own backing
band and leading vocalist Shannon Cooper-Garland. |

Other
noted performers include TV personality Denis Walter
and his Choir, The Australian Army Band, The Victoria
Police Pipe Band, The Adelaide Celts Broadsword
Dance Troupe and the Massed Pipes and Drums.
The
tattoo this year paid a special tribute to the men
and women of the Armed Services entitled "Spirit
of the Anzacs".
