Edinburgh Military Tattoo 1998 & 2000

City
of Invercargill Caledonian Pipe Band at the 1998
Edinburgh
Military Tattoo.
The
band not only played with the massed pipes and drums
of the Scottish regiments, but also performed a
special marching display with City of Dunedin Pipe
Band to mark 100 years of European settlement in
the Otago Southland region of New Zealand.

In
2000 the City of Invercargill Caledonian Pipe Band
again paraded at the tattoo but this time in Wellington,
New Zealand as part of the New Zealand Festival.
It was the first time the tattoo had been staged
outside of Scotland. A huge castle replica was built
in Wellington's Trust bank Stadium and the performance
attracted over 20000 people.
